Crane Inspections

All lifting equipment require formal inspections at specific times and The Crane School provides these crane and lift equipment inspections anywhere in the U.S.A., U.S. territories and other countries.  There are a variety (types) of inspections that are required depending on the circumstances.  For example a “Post Assembly” inspection is required after a crane has been assembled and before it can be put to work in accordance with Federal OSHA §1926.1412(c).  All of our inspectors are NCCCO certified crane inspectors and NCCCO certified crane operators.  Our inspections are thoroughly carried out, properly documented and an inspection decal is applied at the time of each inspection.  Every client is issued a copy of the actual inspection and any deficiencies found and recommendations are provided.

The Crane School inspection services are available for the following types of equipment:

  • Mobile Cranes (all types and sizes)
  • Tower Cranes
  • Overhead Cranes
  • Articulating Boom Cranes
  • Buck Hoists
  • Personnel Platforms
  • Forklifts (Vertical Mast)
  • Forklifts (Telescopic Boom)
  • Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (aka Boom Lifts & Scissor Lifts)
  • Below-the-Hook Lifting Devices
  • Wire Rope

The following types of inspections are available:

  • Annual Inspections
  • Monthly Inspections
  • Post Assembly Inspections
  • Post Incident Inspections
  • Modified Equipment Inspections
  • Repaired/Adjusted Equipment Inspections
  • Specialized Inspections (such as severe service)

Load Test “Witnessing” is a service we provide that includes expert consultation and planning prior to the load testing.  We will witness the load test, record our findings and issue a completed load test document according to the actual load test that took place.

The staff is top notch. So much knowledge of cranes from the inside out. If you have a question I promise they have the answer. My class instructors Bob ,Nick, Tony, and Bob B are hands down who you need to instruct you if you want to operate a Crane or Boom truck.

Wally Helms

Kenneth Watson

I had the opportunity to take the 3 week course for TLL and TSS certification/testing. The instructors were beyond knowledgeable and helpful. The amount of info needed to pass the course(s) is a lot, but with the help of the instructors and the way it was taught, the testing was not difficult at all. I highly recommend.
