About Us
The Crane School has been preparing students for heavy equipment operating certifications for more than 21 years. We’ve never had a dissatisfied student! The key to our longtime success is our communication and teaching style. Learning how to operate a crane is not something that can be done just by reading a book. Our Instructors have been crane operators for many years and they all have the ability to communicate to students using terminology and explanations that they can understand in ways that make learning much easier. Our instructors have the passion to pass along information and to see their students learning in the classroom and on the cranes.
Highlights of Qualification
All instructors at The Crane School have numerous years of actual crane operations and they all hold the required qualifications and/or certifications necessary to provide our services. The following credentials apply to our instructional staff:
- Qualified Crane Operators (in all crane operator designations)
- NCCCO Certified Crane Operators (in all crane operator designations)
- NCCCO Certified Inspectors (mobile, tower, overhead)
- NCCCO Accredited Practical Examiners (mobile, tower, articulating, telehandler, rigging, signalperson)
- NCCCO Certified Riggers
- NCCCO Certified Signal Persons
- NCCCO Certified Lift Director
The Crane School instructors have an established reputation for the ability to communicate with students. They all have the talent for creating a stimulating and challenging, learning environment. We possess extensive knowledge of all applicable regulations (OSHA, MSHA, ANSI/ASME, etc.) governing lift equipment.
The Crane School has provided our professional training and inspection services for companies such as Duke Power, Mobile Oil, Martin Marietta and Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, Granite Construction, Skanska, Halliburton, SDGVE, Bombardier, Sempra Utilities, Boeing, Hawaiian Electric, Amron International, KIA, US Bureau of Reclamation, US Army Corps of Engineers, and many municipalities and counties across the country.

Includes NCCCO written and practical exams.
