Reading the crane class schedule

The crane class schedule below shows open-enrollment start and end dates at our Seffner center for each program. Dates are posted by the office and can change, so confirm your class with us before you book travel.

How each program runs

  • Initial mobile crane courses (3-week and 5-week): full time, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with classroom work, seat time and NCCCO exams. See the initial mobile crane operator program for details.
  • Mobile crane certification and recertification prep: once a month, Friday through Monday. Practical exams are on Friday, classroom sessions Saturday and Sunday, and written exams Monday morning. Optional practice slots can be reserved in one-hour blocks the Thursday before. This course is for operators who already have experience; learn more on the certification prep program page.
  • Rigger and signalperson classes: short courses that prepare you for NCCCO Level I rigger and signalperson exams.

How to reserve your seat

Class sizes are limited, so reserve as early as you can. To hold a spot:

  1. Choose a class and start date from the calendar.
  2. Call (813) 402-2017, text +1 (813) 807-6244, or send a request through our contact page.
  3. Our office will confirm your seat, payment options and what to bring.

Traveling in? Ask about hotel rate assistance when you call.

On-site class dates by request

Employers don't have to work around our calendar. Scheduled programs with the required NCCCO exams can be held at your facility on dates arranged with our office, and practical exams can be scheduled at your site nationwide. Send your crew size, location and preferred dates through the on-site training request page. Hosting the class yourself can make sense when several employees need the same certification at once, or when your work schedule makes a trip to Florida hard to fit in.
