TSS and TLL Practice Per Hour

Hourly seat time on telescopic boom cranes to sharpen your skills before an NCCCO practical exam.

$150 Per hour; available with or without instructor coaching

Duration: Hourly sessions (2–3 hours recommended)

Request enrollment and our office will confirm your seat and payment options.

What's included

  • Seat time on a fixed cab (TSS) or swing cab (TLL) telescopic crane
  • Option with instructor coaching or without
  • Practice on the kind of course used for practical exams

Seat Time When You Need It

TSS and TLL practice sessions give you hands-on time on a telescopic boom crane, billed by the hour. You can focus on a fixed cab (TSS) or swing cab (TLL) machine, whichever matches the exam you are taking or the crane you run at work.

Coaching Options

Sessions are offered with or without coaching. With coaching, an instructor watches your operation and gives feedback on control, smoothness and technique. Without coaching, you get the seat time to work on your own. Confirm the option you want with the office when you book.

How Much to Book

We recommend two to three hours to get comfortable and prepare well for a practical exam. Operators in the monthly Mobile Crane Operator Certification Prep Program often reserve one-hour slots on the Thursday before exam day. Bring hard-toe footwear, a hard hat, gloves and photo ID.

Making the Most of Each Hour

Come with a plan. If your weak spot is smooth swing control, ask to work on that. If it is placing the load accurately in a tight area, spend the time there. Coached sessions are especially useful the first time you prepare for a practical, because an instructor can correct small habits quickly. Read our NCCCO mobile crane prep tips before your session for ideas on what to focus on.

Booking Your Hours

Set the number of hours, pick the session type, and pay by card in the online box on this page. Our office contacts you afterward to set the exact times. Booking by phone works too: fill out the enrollment request form and note the hours you want.
