Request enrollment and our office will confirm your seat and payment options.

What's included

  • NCCCO practical exam on a TSS (fixed cab) or TLL (swing cab) telescopic crane
  • Exam conducted at our Seffner, FL training yard
  • No classroom session required

For Operators Ready to Prove Their Skills

The TSS or TLL practical is for operators who have already studied the material, or who only need to complete the hands-on part of their certification. You choose one crane type: TSS, a telescopic boom crane with a fixed cab, or TLL, a telescopic boom crane with a swing cab. Then you get in the seat and demonstrate safe, controlled operation on the exam course.

Format and Timing

Practical exams in our monthly Mobile Crane Operator Certification Prep Program are held on Friday. There is no classroom component. If you have been out of the seat for a while, consider booking TSS and TLL Practice Per Hour before your exam; we suggest two to three hours.

NCCCO requires both written and practical exams to be passed within its allowed window to earn the certification, so plan your written exam accordingly.

Prerequisites

This option is for experienced operators. Bring hard-toe footwear, a hard hat, gloves, work clothing and a government-issued photo ID. If you need both TSS and TLL, tell the office when you request a slot.

Fixed Cab vs. Swing Cab

Pick the exam that matches the crane you run. A TSS crane has the operator's cab fixed on the carrier, like a boom truck, while a TLL crane's cab rotates with the upper. The control layout and sight lines differ, so the practical feels different on each.

How to Book

Pay for a TSS or TLL practical in the online box here (add one per exam you need), or send the enrollment request form and the office will confirm your exam slot and payment.
